I embraced a career in IT navigating different roles from software developer to Solutions Architect and CTO. I’ve worked on several industries from Automobile to Healthcare, and have designed and led teams in complex environments. I’ve been on the tranches like the technical teams that I’ve led. Moreover, my experience as executive launching MedTech companies provides me with a unique perspective in business.
Some of my career highlights:
Commercialized cancer screening technology. As the founder and CEO of a start-up incorporated in Texas raised close to $5 million in grants and private equity. Built a strong product and successfully obtained approval to manufacture and commercialize the first cancer screening device from a university in Mexico. Established partnerships and built a company that provided access to cancer screening to more than 30,000 women.
Mentored leading-edge healthcare solutions as a member of advisory programs such as the Texas Health Catalyst at Dell Medical School. Mentored healthcare entrepreneurs and researchers in constructing business models and assisted in establishing collaboration with valuable partnerships. As Judge, I supported business plan competitions for the graduate programs at McCombs Business School, (MBA and MSTC) and participated in several acceleration and incubation programs, including Texas Venture Lab, Village Capital, 3-Day Startup, and others.
